wash & care
Merino wool by nature is self-cleaning and does not need to be washed as frequently as other fabrics. To refresh and reduce washing, turn garment inside-out and air often. It is not necessary to wash your Woolino garments prior to use.
Sleep Bags and Clothing
- Machine wash: Close zipper. Wash on Low, 100°F /40°C max
- Use wool or mild detergent.
- Line-dry clothing and blankets. Sleep bags can be tumble dried on No Heat or Air Dry settings.
Pilling
Pilling is a natural process that is inherent in merino fabric due to the fact that merino is a staple fiber. The best way to avoid pilling is to wash a new merino wool product after the first couple of wears. The pilling will diminish over time and with each washing as non-tenacious wool fibers work themselves free of the fabric and break away.
Lambskin Rugs
Comforters and Pillows
We recommend using a duvet cover for the comforters and a pillowcase for the pillow. That way you only need to wash the duvet covers and pillowcases.
Spot clean when possible. Sponge-off small, lightly soiled areas and towel dry where necessary, or wash on Low (80°F) using a wool or mild detergent. Do NOT use soap or washing powders containing enzymes or bleach. Do NOT tumble dry. Dry-cleanable.
To freshen up the comforter, expose it to direct sunlight and fresh air for a couple of hours every few months.
We recommend spot cleaning with Kookaburra wool wash or dry cleaning only.
Machine washing (40°C/108°F max) is an option for larger stains, but please note - due to the natural leather backing, the rug will not look brand new after washing. Use Kookaburra wool wash or wool approved mild liquid detergent
Dry flat and away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry.
Regular brushing and brisk shaking of the wool will maintain a soft and fluffy appearance
